Terms and Conditions of YourPro’s “Money Back Policy”


YourPro's "Money Back Policy": When a tradesman register on YourPro substantially deviates from YourPro’s Code of Ethics and the written agreement made with the client, and if this deviation is not rectified by the tradesman after the official notification of the issue by the client to YourPro, YourPro, at its absolute and discreet discretion, agrees to pay the Client:

 
  • For work with a total cost from 5000€ to €20,000 

Up to €2,500 from the total amount paid by the client to the tradesman and if the agreed-upon work is not performed at all, or if the work has been carried out in a manner significantly different from the initial written agreement between the client and the tradesman

  • For work with a total cost from €20,000.01 to €30,000 

Up to €3,000 from the total amount paid by the client to the tradesman and if the agreed-upon work is not performed at all, or if the work has been carried out in a manner significantly different from the initial written agreement between the client and the tradesman

  • For work with a total cost from €30,000.01 to €50,000 

Up to €5,000 from the total amount paid by the client to the tradesman and if the agreed-upon work is not performed at all, or if the work has been carried out in a manner significantly different from the initial written agreement between the client and the tradesman

  • For work with a total cost from €50,000.01 to €100,000 

Up to €8,000 from the total amount paid by the client to the tradesman and if the agreed-upon work is not performed at all, or if the work has been carried out in a manner significantly different from the initial written agreement between the client and the tradesman

  • For work with a total cost of €100,000.01 and above 

Up to €10,000 from the total amount paid by the client to the tradesman and if the agreed-upon work is not performed at all, or if the work has been carried out in a manner significantly different from the initial written agreement between the client and the tradesman

 

To be eligible for YourPro’s “Money Back Policy”  the following criteria must be met:

  • Age over 18
  • Registered YourPro user
  • Request made through YourPro.ie
  • The client's request must not concern the following tasks:

    Interior Design
    Energy Certificate
    Repair of an Electric Vacuum Cleaner
    Microwave Oven: Repair
    Excavations - Earthworks
    Pest Control & Disinfecting Services
    Underfloor Heating
    Monthly Common Expenses Calculation
    Keys and Locks
    Small Appliance Repairs
    Commercial Equipment and Goods Transport
    Cement
    Rendering Technical Offices and Companies
    Apartment Building Cleaning
    Furniture Assembly
    Commercial Space removal
    IT Networks
    Removals within the Same Region
    Cleaning Services
    International Removals
    Carpet Cleaning
    Biological Cleaning
    Removals Between regions
    Gardening
    Photography
    Event Planning
    Catering Services
    Personal Training
    DJ
    Website / E-shop Development
 
  • Hired tradesmen recommended by YourPro.ie
  • Active YourPro tradesman when work commenced
  • The client must have contracted the tradesman and marked 'Job Started' in their control panel within 48 hours of the work's commencement, either without a required advance payment or within 48 hours of making the advance payment to the tradesman, along with the final cost of the service.
  • Possess a project contract or document for agreements exceeding €500
  • Official payment receipts, invoices, transaction proof
  • Tradesman hired within 90 days of the request
  • Issue reported within 30 days of project completion
  • The issue is a direct result of the work requested on YourPro
  • Hire and completion through the YourPro control panel before the refund request
  • The requested refund amount doesn't exceed the invoiced amount
  • Not related to specific excluded tasks (details in Terms and Conditions)
  • If you have already received partial compensation from the tradesman for the same issue, you are not eligible for a refund under the YourPro’s “Money Back Policy”.
 

Other terms and exceptions:

  • The monetary claim for damages, through the 'YourPro Satisfaction Guarantee', by the client cannot exceed the amount invoiced by the tradesman and simultaneously paid by the client to the tradesman.
  • The monetary claim for damages, through the 'YourPro Satisfaction Guarantee', by the client cannot exceed the amount entered in the platform's control panel.
  • Initially, YourPro will attempt to resolve issues with the tradesman. Before the YourPro’s “Money Back Policy” is applied, the client accepts that YourPro will attempt to promptly resolve any issues that have arisen between the client and the tradesman. In this effort, the client agrees that completion of the work by another tradesman collaborating with and registered with the service may be requested (this tradesman will also be subject to the YourPro’s “Money Back Policy”).
  • In certain cases, YourPro may require a specialised expert to visit the location where the work was executed or the location of the object related to the service, in order to certify the nature, size, and extent of the potential problem.
  • The cost of diagnosis is not covered by YourPro's “Money Back Policy”, in cases where the work involves the repair of an electrical appliance or an air conditioner.
  • In the case of property damage, certain types of material damages are excluded.
 

Specifically, YourPro’s “Money Back Policy” does not cover damages or destruction to:

  • Vehicles and transportation of any kind, such as cars and recreational boats.
  • Currency, money, banknotes, precious metals, jewellery, official documents, promissory notes, and bills of exchange.
  • Animals.
  • Crops.
  • Artworks.
  • Electronic Files.
 
  • YourPro’s “Money Back Policy” applies only to tasks that have been posted on the Douleutaras platform after September 1st, 2023.
  • In the case that the service pertains to an object that can be transported (e.g., construction of a shed, repair of an electrical appliance, etc.), YourPro’s “Money Back Policy” does not apply if the object has been moved in any way by the client from the location where it was repaired or constructed, or outside the area for which the construction was intended.
  • YourPro’s “Money Back Policy” does not compensate for physical injury or loss of property, as well as losses resulting from or in any way related to the following:
 
  • Losses or damages that are a normal, usual, or natural part of the undertaken work.
  • Natural disasters (including but not limited to earthquakes) and damages caused by weather conditions.
  • Theft or other intentional acts, or any unexplained loss of materials and objects.
  • Force majeure or the application of law or decree.
  • Damages or omissions caused by defects or inaccuracies in materials or spare parts.
  • Animals, including injuries to animals, veterinary care, medications, and all other services related to animals.
  • Losses, damages, costs, or expenses of any kind directly or indirectly caused by war or terrorist activity.
  • Lack of electrical power, oil, water, natural gas, refrigerant, drainage, telephone, or internet connection.
  • Previous faulty constructions or materials, or previous incorrect planning.
  • Ordinary wear and tear.
  • Damage is caused by insects, parasites, and animals (including pets).
  • Wear, rust, corrosion, or latent damage.
  • Any malicious, deceptive, or illegal activity or agreement by or between the client and/or the tradesman, as determined at the sole discretion of Douleutaras.
